İnadına Aşk (Love Out of Spite) is a Turkish romantic comedy directed by Osman Sınav and Yusuf Ömer Sınav and produced by Sinegraf. It aired on FOX from 2 July 2015 to 3 February 2016, running for 32 episodes, and stars Can Yaman as Yalın Aras and Açelya Topaloğlu as Defne Barutçu, with Nilay Duru and Eren Vurdem.

Plot

Yalın is the young boss of Arass Teknoloji, a giant tech company. Though he comes from a distinguished Istanbul family, he is rude and jealous, still sensitive about the mother who left him and his sister when they were small. A successful computer engineer, he loves hunting and the mountains.

Defne is also a brilliant computer engineer whose dream is to work at Arass Teknoloji. Growing up with three over-protective, jealous older brothers, she has lived with endless restrictions, and she never stops talking. Her best friend is Yeşim, Yalın’s younger sister, the princess of the Aras family, who suffers from her brother’s jealousy just as Defne does from hers.

When Defne joins the company, sparks fly between the stubborn pair, and their battle of wills leads, against all odds, to a secret marriage.

Why watch it

İnadına Aşk was Can Yaman’s first leading role and showed the comic charm that later made Erkenci Kuş an international hit.
