About the series

Adını Sen Koy (You Name It) is a long-running Turkish daily drama starring Erkan Meriç and Hazal Subaşı in its first two seasons, and Cenk Torun and Deniz Durmaz in seasons three and four. It was directed by Fulya Yavuzoğlu and Mahir Aktaş and written by the Başak Yaz writing team.

Story

The series follows Zehra, a young woman who grew up in an orphanage, and Ömer, the man she is forced to marry. What begins as a marriage neither of them wanted slowly turns into a love story, tested by family secrets, jealous relatives and their own pride. Its everyday, episode-by-episode storytelling made it a fixture of Turkish afternoon television.

Broadcast history

Adını Sen Koy is unusual in that it moved between three channels: the first season aired on TRT 1, seasons two and three on Star TV, and the fourth and final season on TV8. After four seasons and 397 episodes, the series ended on 13 November 2018.

Why it was popular

The chemistry between Erkan Meriç and Hazal Subaşı, and the classic “forced marriage turns into love” storyline, built a loyal audience in Turkey and later abroad, where the show found new fans through international broadcasts and streaming.
