About the series

Gönül Dağı (literally Mountain of the Heart) is a Turkish family drama produced by Köprü Film for TRT 1. It premiered on 17 October 2020 and is now in its seventh season, with more than 220 episodes, making it one of the longest-running series on Turkish television. The lead cast includes Berk Atan, Melis Sevinç, Yavuz Sepetçi, Ferdi Sancar, Nazlı Pınar Kaya Oral and Erdal Cindoruk.

The series is inspired by the steppe stories of writer Mustafa Çiftçi, and its slogan is “an Anatolian tale on the steppe”. Its warm, family-friendly tone has kept it among the most watched weekend series in Turkey for six years.

Plot

In Gedelli, a small town on the Central Anatolian steppe, three cousins have been inventors since childhood, fixing machines and building gadgets. As adults they set out on their biggest dream: building an aeroplane with an unusual wing design.

Around them, the people of Gedelli live their everyday joys and troubles: love, family, neighbourly quarrels and the struggle to make a living, told with humour and heart.
