About the series

Sıla is a Turkish drama produced by Fm Yapım and Most Production for ATV, starring Cansu Dere as Sıla and Mehmet Akif Alakurt as Boran Genco. Directed by Yasin Uslu and Gül Oğuz, it aired from 15 September 2006 to 19 September 2008, for three seasons and 79 episodes.

Plot

Sıla was taken from her family in south-eastern Turkey as a child and raised by a wealthy family in Istanbul, unaware of her roots. As a young woman, her biological family suddenly reclaims her and brings her back to Mardin. There, to settle a blood feud between two clans, she is married to Boran, the powerful aga of the Genco family.

Torn between the modern Istanbul life she knew and the traditions of the land she was born in, Sıla struggles to adapt, while Boran, at first cold and proud, slowly falls in love with her.
