About the series

Adım Farah (My Name Is Farah) is a Turkish crime drama starring Demet Özdemir as Farah and Engin Akyürek as Tahir. Produced by O3 Medya, directed by Recai Karagöz and written by Deniz Dargı, Cem Görgeç and Cenk Boğatur, it premiered in March 2023 and is an adaptation of the 2017 Argentine series La chica que limpia (The Cleaning Lady).

Plot

Farah is an Iranian woman who has fled her country and is trying to survive in Istanbul with her young son. She works as a cleaning lady to pay for her son’s urgent medical treatment. Her life turns upside down when she accidentally witnesses a murder committed by a criminal organisation.

Tahir, the gang’s enforcer, must decide what to do with the woman who saw too much. When Farah saves the life of the boss, Ali Galip, she buys herself time, but her future remains uncertain. A dangerous bond grows between Farah and Tahir as she is drawn deeper into the world she wants to escape, while still fighting for her son.
