Biography
Mert Ramazan Demir is a Turkish actor who became famous as Ferit Korhan, the charming and reckless heir of a Bosphorus mansion in Yalı Çapkını (Golden Boy, 2022–2025). He was born on 28 January 1998 in Şile, Istanbul, the youngest of six children in a family from Van. His father ran a grocery shop in Şile.
Career
Demir discovered his interest in acting later than many of his peers, first appearing on stage in a school theatre production. He trained at Dialog Anlatım İletişim and at the Michelle Danner Acting Studio, and played his first leading role in the film I Am You.
His big break came in 2022 when he was cast opposite Afra Saraçoğlu in Yalı Çapkını. As Ferit, a spoiled young man whose arranged marriage to Seyran slowly turns into real love, he won over audiences in Turkey and abroad. The series ran for three seasons and 101 episodes on Star TV and made him one of the most popular young actors of his generation, with millions of followers on social media.
