Biography
Hilal Altınbilek is a Turkish actress and model best known as Züleyha in the period drama Bir Zamanlar Çukurova (Bitter Lands, 2018–2022), one of the most exported Turkish series of its time. She was born on 11 February 1991 in İzmir to a family of Kosovar origin.
Career
Altınbilek became interested in theatre in primary school and started acting while still at high school in İzmir. She was chosen as a photo model in a modelling contest and studied acting at the Müjdat Gezen Art Centre in Istanbul.
Her first role came in 2011 in the daily series Derin Sular. She then played Özlem in Karagül (2013–2016) and Nil in Hayatımın Aşkı (2016). Her breakthrough was the role of Züleyha in Bir Zamanlar Çukurova, which she played for all four seasons and 141 episodes. In 2018 she also starred opposite Engin Akyürek in Çağan Irmak’s film Çocuklar Sana Emanet.
She went on to play Şebnem in Şahane Hayatım (2023–2024) and Asya Madran in Sahtekarlar (2025).
