Ebru Şahin is a Turkish actress who became internationally known as Reyyan Şadoğlu in the romantic drama Hercai. She was born on 18 May 1994 in Istanbul and graduated from Istanbul University.
Şahin began acting in 2017 with the role of Didem in the action series Savaşçı (Warrior). Her breakthrough came only a year later, when she was cast opposite Akın Akınözü as Reyyan in Hercai (2019–2021). The story of a young woman caught between love and a family feud in Mardin became a hit in Turkey and abroad, especially in Spain and Latin America, and made Reyyan and Miran one of the most popular couples of Turkish television.
She then took on the role of Akkız, a fierce warrior heroine, in the historical fantasy series Destan (2021–2022), showing a very different, action-driven side of her acting.
Ebru Şahin married Turkish basketball player Cedi Osman in 2022.
Şahin is admired for her natural, emotional performances and her strong chemistry with her co-stars. Hercai’s success abroad means she has a large international fan community.
